Rail Specific Rigs

Lankelma has developed rigs specifically to work with the restrictions of the rail environment: the Rail Truck (above) overcomes the obstacle of short weekday possessions;  the 360 Road Rail plant performs site investigations in the hardest-to-access areas, whilst the mobile rams can test tunnel walls at any angle.

CPT - Method of choice for rail site investigation

Fast, safe and technically superior results. Virtually instantanous results mean higher risk sites can be prioritised for improvement works.

  • soil characterised in-situ

  • instantaneous results

  • electronic - fast, flexible data transfer

  • continuous profile

  • minimal soil disturbance

  • high quality, repeatable results

  • safe, no manual handling

Rail instrumentation

We use our hydraulic rigs  to install a wide range of geotechnical instrumentation.  This
push-in method causes minimal disturbance to the ground and can provide technically superior installations.  High productivity is also achieved, with in excess of 150m per day achievable.
