CPT in the Antarctic
Lankelma  sponsored and collaborated with Adrian McCallum to investigate the strength of polar snow.

31 Tonne rig saves the day!
Tests were refusing in gravel layers between 14 and 18m. The solution was to mobilise Lankelma Green Energy's 31 tonne truck (UK17). 522 tests were carried out in 62 rig days. Test results were sent to client BAM Ritchies on a daily basis.

400 CPTs for in-fill testing
The site was the location of an old brick and tile works which, once decommissioned, was filled in with demolition material from structures bombed in WW2.

Pressuremeter for Celtic Park Stadium
23 full displacement pressuremeter tests were undertaken over 4 days. This ground investigation was in the east end of Glasgow along a proposed link road.

Combined piezocone magnetometer and combined piezocone seismic testing at a school in South Camden, London.

Little Cheyne Court windfarm, Kent
The 1st visit was in 2006 for a preliminary ground investigation. The ground investigation was finalised in 2008!

3 Windfarms
The sites were on the Moors of County Durham, the North York Moors at Rusholme and at Bicker Fen in East Anglia.

Testing Lime cement columns at Tilbury docks
CPTs, MOSTAP sampling through previously installed lime cement columns and pull-out resistance tests using a wing cone. The results obtained were used to determine the undrained shear strength (and so working strength) of the individual columns tested.

Combined gamma cone determines solution features
Lankelma carried out a site investigation for the identification of solution or dissolution features within chalk. The tests were performed for one of the UK�s leading PFI contractors at a site in Hertfordshire.

Edinburgh airport
Piezocone, dissipation tests and MOSTAP sampling for the BAA Edinburgh Airport SWD and Grogar Burn ground investigation.

Supervision in Valparaiso Region, Chile
Lankelma was brought in to supervise CPT when 2 boreholes showed a liquefaction potential at approximately 20m and the SPT values produced were unsatisfactory.

King's Dock, Liverpool
Cone penetration testing was selected as part of an integrated site investigation package to rapidly assess the thickness and quality of sand infill deposits.

The track truck, performed impressively in the very wet conditions leaving behind only flattened grass.
