Testing 24/7
Operations were soon increased to 24/7 operations to cope with the high volume of testing that was needed, and to keep up with the dredging activities. Piezocone tests were carried out pre and post vibrocompaction, and also to test the strength of the gravel columns. 7,518m of tests were completed.
Marine CPTs
Gardline Lankelma has also been carrying out marine CPTs for the new port that is being built in Duqm, Oman. This is to assist a dredging company with the fill material as well as to check how well they had cleared the trench that will create the foundation for the quay walls.
The Lankelma and Gardline Geosciences offices offer geotechnical site investigation and the installation of instrumentation onland, overwater, nearshore and offshore.
