Decontamination capabilities
Lankelma Inc's CPT penetrometers have the ability to decontaminate all equipment upon exiting the hole.
This technique utilizes a steam cleaning module attached to the bottom of the guide tube underneath the CPT truck. The rinse water is only applied when the rods are in motion, further reducing the cost of hazardous waste disposal.

Advantages
The sealed, cleaning module uniformly sprays all CPT rods as they pass into the guide tube with high temperature, high pressure water.
All rinse water is immediately containerized throughout the retraction process. The containers, 55 gallon drums, are located on a support trailer and can easily be transported to a designated storage area.
High pressure rinse water is only applied when the rods are moving, significantly reducing the amount of potentially hazardous wastewater generated in the decontamination process.
The decontamination system is so efficient that little extra time and effort is required for the most important feature, safety.
